For the recording of this live performance, we used “Jeanne d’Arc,” a virtual camera system originally developed by KAYAC, linking the motion capture studio with the virtual space. “Jeanne d’Arc” not only allows camerawork in the virtual space as if operating a real camera, by having the cameraman appear there virtually, but also enables shots that can only be achieved in virtual space through a virtual drone camera equipped with multiple systems. In addition, by obtaining the camera coordinates through motion capture, it is possible to link a real camera within the virtual space. By switching between the real and avatar versions of ReoNa, we seamlessly connected the world of “Sword Art Online -Chronicle- Online Edition,” creating a new live production that moves back and forth between reality and virtual space.
