This song is the theme song for the serialized TV drama series Bakebake, airing in fall 2025. With the hope that it would remain a beloved work for many people long after the drama has ended, it has been reimagined as an animation. This time, the concept was developed by Ryosei Sato of Humbert Humbert, and based on that idea, production moved forward while drawing parallels between the rapidly changing era from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji era and the lives of those of us living in the present day. It depicts the perspective on work expressed in the lyrics, as well as the way we continue our daily lives, facing a wide range of emotions in the course of our everyday existence, unchanged in any era.

NHK Minna no Uta, broadcast from April to May 2025 This animation was created to accompany the song “Yūyake ga Umareru Machi,” by Ikimono Gakari meets Humbert Humbert. It was made with feelings of love for one’s hometown where one was born and raised, the resolve to keep moving forward on one’s own path, and pride in the life one has walked so far.
