City Cyndrome – Harajukuboy

日本の原宿の街にはKawaiiが溢れ、雑多でありつつも純粋で剥き出しな若さがある。MV制作のために何度か原宿の街を歩きましたが、この街の”恋”とは一体どんなヴィジュアルなのだろうと考えました。
City Cndromeさんの楽曲を聞いて、タフな女性とHarajuku Boyの視点の交差、すれ違い、そして傲慢なほど”わたし自身”の視点を持ってアニメーションを描きたいと思いました。技法としては、エアスプレーと水彩を使って作画をすることからスタートしました。
The streets of Harajuku in Japan are overflowing with “Kawaii”, a chaotic yet pure and unadulterated youthfulness, and as I walked the streets of Harajuku several times for making
this music video, I wondered what the "love" in this “Harajuku” would look like visually.
Listening to City Cydrome's music, I wanted to animate the intersection of the perspectives of a tough woman and a Harajuku boy, their differences, and my own arrogantly "personal" point of view. I started by drawing on paper using airspray and watercolor.
