SUZUKI Automobile Globalの車種、Vitara誕生30周年のアニバーサリー用に制作をご依頼いただいたGIF動画です。
30年間のVitaraの歴史を祝う動画なので、時代を超えモデルチェンジを超えVitaraを愛し続ける2人のキャラクターを登場させ、様々なシーンでウキウキとドライブする様子を描きました。
キャラクター達のファッションや各シーンの色使いは、それぞれの時代に合わせたものになっています。モデルチェンジ毎に異なる背景を使用し、Vitaraがタウンユースにもオフロードにも適しているという特徴を伝えます。また、車体は実際の資料をもとに、各モデルの特徴を可能な限り正確に再現しました。
背景を含む全てのパーツを紙のみで作り、それをストップモーションアニメーション技法で一コマづつ動かして制作したGIF動画です。

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vitara (SUZUKI Automobile Global), two characters are happily driving Vitara cars over the generations and model changes in various locations and situations. The fashion of the characters was designed considering the style of each period when the cars were produced. Vitara is meant for both city use and off-road, so the four locations where they drive vary.
Referring to the documentation of each car model, I made the paper crafted cars as accurate as possible, such as the wheel of the tires and the proportions of the chassis. All the parts were made with paper including the background, and animated with stop motion technique.
