adidas UK からの依頼で、神戸在住のシューマスター大森敏明氏に関するドキュメンタリーフィルムを制作した。ヨーロッパに数十店舗を構えるSizeというシューズリテイラーが手がけるソーシャルチャンネルのために制作されたもの。シューズ業界において、世界的な注目とリスペクトを長年にわたって得ているシューズクリエイターの創造性の本質に迫った作品。映像監督は関根光才。シャープで奥行きのある映像と、福岡拠点に活躍するビートメイカーOlive Oilによる楽曲、パンチライン続出のインタビューコメント等、全ての要素がタイトにシンクロした切れのある作品は、コンテンツマーケティングのフィールドで１歩先を行くヨーロッパ・クライアントから高い評価を得た。

Film direction for BRUTUS Furniture craftsman Yuuichi Hamada works out of a workshop in Maibara, Shiga Prefecture. He recreates world-renowned chairs, mainly those born in the 20th century, as one-fifth-scale models. In many cases, his work begins with drawing up plans by hand from photographs and reference materials. Not only the shape, but also the texture and color of materials such as wood, metal, and fabric are reproduced so faithfully that at first glance, you would never know they were models. When he once visited Hans Wegner in Denmark, Wegner reportedly praised one piece, saying, “This is not a model. It is the real thing.” With those words in his heart, he continues today to create the next work, one chair at a time.

STORY: A YouTuber visits an abandoned building to film a video and encounters a geisha ghost covered in black. Gradually, his body loses its freedom, and he sinks into delusions; before he knows it, he has fallen under the geisha ghost’s spell. This is an independently produced work made because I wanted to create a horror piece. However, it ended up becoming a comedic one after all. ٩( ᐛ )و I didn’t have any particular obsession with it, but I created it mostly on instinct.
