A girl living in a suburban neighborhood encounters The Monster on her way into town and, after a car chase, defeats it. I drew inspiration from my beloved 1980s American suburbs. The piece was created with the worlds of “Ocean’s 11” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” in mind, and the featured vehicles were chosen for their retro-futuristic feel—“tools of the future imagined back then.”
