An exploration of the tactile textures of the natural world by Onesal
What is ASMR?
The Japanese art studio Onesal has launched a series of four short films that offer a fresh, visual approach to expressing ASMR.
It is called Visual ASMR, or Visual Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. ASMR is a subjective, euphoric experience characterized by a combination of imaginative emotions and electric-like tingling sensations.
Covered in organic elements of vivid colors, natural sculptures set in landscapes that are at once strange and earth-like evolve and grow at a microscopic level in each film. Everything takes place across four otherworldly landscapes, categorized to closely examine interaction, movement, and evolution with surrounding elements.
Each shot is composed using elements of nature, architecture, and time-lapse.
The work examines textures and tactile elements that morph and interact in unreal environments.
This endeavor began by balancing nature and design, and by blurring the boundary between simplicity and complexity in an abstract way.
