To make the chaotic otherworld evoked by the song feel more real, we used on-location shooting instead of chroma key, then composited the footage onto it. With objects and color schemes aligned to the song’s theme, the piece is cool, while also blending in a slight cheapness and a sense of comedy. In the verse sections, we layered shots with the same camera movement, incorporating the theme and intent of living in the present and breaking free from anxiety, without being bound by the “past” or the “future.”
